Brief Description of Yourself:
I am a tried and true baby boomer. From flowers in my hair and bare feet in the 60's to savvy business women still with flowers in my hair and bare feet.
I have written my first book, in a series of twelve, called BABY BOOMER EXPRESS, FROM LONG HAIR TO SILVER HAIR, WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?
I host a weekly radio show called BABY BOOMERS OF TODAY, on www.voiceamerica.com, 7th Wave Network, and I am a professional speaker specializing on issues most pressing to people facing retirement without a nest egg, as well as "health and aging issues."
1) What do you believe makes you special or interesting?
I have had many diverse careers, in and out of the corporate world. But I have always been a student and practitioner of holistic living and health. In addition to the activities I mentioned above, I am currently completing my Phd in Metaphysical Sciences, the study of quantum physics.
2) What kind of effect have you had, or would like to have on the world?
It is my passion and mission to get my book in the hands of the 100 million baby boomers in the world. It is my firm belief that BABY BOOMER EXPRESS can and does make a significant difference in the lives of those who read it and follow the simple action steps and strategies to live a life with greater health, deeper relationships and spiritual financial security.
3) What events shaped or changed your life?
The most recent event was seeing "THE SECRET" about 18 months ago. The minute my husband and I finished watching the movie, we decided right then and there that the message HAD to be brought to every living soul. What they did with the information would be their path, but we feel compelled to make sure everyone has been exposed to it at least.
4) Did you overcome obstacles - take risks - get lucky?
We are in the midst of one of the biggest risks we have ever taken. We have put everything we have on the line to write and publish our book, tour and share our message.
We are both risk takers and have taken many risks in the past with great rewards. We know that this time is our greatest endeavor.
5) What have you done that no one would guess you'd done upon first meeting you?
In 1976, I left a comfy legal assistant position to become an over-the-road truck driver. I drove all around the country for 3 years, then ended up owning a fleet of trucks and left the road to run the company. I was the first woman in the US to be accepted at truck driving school.
6) What is still left to be done in your life?
There is so much more I will be doing. As we promote our book, travel and share the most important information there is, we know that incredible doors will open for us and we are open to recognize new opportunities as they are presented to us.
