Maxine Gaudio- Worked With Homeless Children In Several Countries http://www.maxinegaudio.com/
1) What do you believe makes you special or interesting? My knowledge and interest in many varied subjects and people. My ability to focus and realize a persons main emotional issues and their purpose in life. I am also able to see the basic pattern that a person has lived and help them to make change. I have a great sense of humor, humility and compassion about living life.
2) What kind of effect have you had, or would like to have on the world? I have introduced many new and varied ideas both to individuals and large groups of people. I have worked on the streets of several countries with homeless children and I would hope that my new book, Journey to the Center of the Self will make deep and meaningful changes in the lives of millions of people looking for the real purpose of their lives.
3) What events shaped or changed your life? I have lived and questioned so many things in my life that to pick a few events would be meaningless.....I think that seeing people in need and pain and the vast amount of non-caring in the world....in general...seeing the suffering of so many has vastly shaped and changed my life since my teen years. Which, by the way, was a while back......
4) Did you overcome obstacles - take risks - get lucky? I can say that I have overcome many, many obstacles including the ones that we all seem to make for ourselves....I am a calculated risk taker which has led me to be somewhat before my time in almost all of my thinking and actions.....I would say that luck is spelled W-O-R-K...but I definitely feel that I have made choices that have really made me feel as though I got lucky.
I made a second home in Iceland, started a radio show there, wrote a book created a program for stress management for children and started an entire life since I turned 66 years old. I don't think I am lucky I KNOW that I am lucky. Surrender IS the answer.
5) What have you done that no one would guess you'd done upon first meeting you? Most of what I have done would fall under that category....but I suppose that flying a plane, jumping from one, snow-mobiling on top of a glacier in Iceland would be a few.
6) What is still left to be done in your life? Reaching a state of enlightenment while I can still appreciate it....although I guess I would always appreciate it.This means never stopping the work on myself to constantly make change and improvement.
